What's with the blog title?
So far, the hardest part of setting up a blog is coming up with a catchy title that not only sets the tone of the blog, but also describes you as an author. For months I contemplated setting up a blog, but could not come up with this elusive title that categorized my personality, nor my intentions for blogging.
Finally it came to me: Spin, Learn, And Toss It On! When I was an undergraduate at Penn State, I was a member of the Penn State Blue Band Silk, aka the "Flag Girls" of Penn State's Marching Blue Band. In 1995, this same title was the theme of one of our t-shirts.
Ultimately, I realized, this phrase also describes my journey through life, both personally and professionally (it also pulls in my absolute love for all things Penn State--bonus!).
In terms of both my personal life and my career, life makes your head SPIN, which leads to LEARNING. I love to share what I know with my friends and colleagues, thus: TOSS IT ON!
